The 8305 Multi-Interface IP Paging Adapter is a versatile device designed to integrate with legacy paging and communication systems. Below is a detailed explanation of its connectivity options and technical capabilities:
The 8305 has three key connection points: a telephone port that emulates an analog telephone, an 8 Ω output that can connect to self-amplified speakers, and a line output. As a SIP-compliant device, the 8305 makes it possible to connect existing legacy paging systems to VoIP or UCaaS platforms. The 8305 is also multicast capable enabling legacy systems to be used alongside IP devices.
Using the web interface, you can schedule announcements to play automatically. Set up is easy no matter if you want to schedule single or multiple events such as bells, safety reminders, or holiday announcements. Additionally, emergency alerts can be activated by dialing a set extension or via a device, like a button, connected to the relay input to provide contact closure.
The 8305 is a PoE device that uses SIP, multicast, APIs, and smart relays to connect diverse paging systems, services, and devices. This gives you further control of how your communication system operates and simplifies the process of growing your paging system alongside facility upgrades.
The Algo 8305 Multi-Interface IP Paging Adapter is also sold as the Algo 8305-IC InformaCast Multi-Interface IP Paging Adapter, a fully InformaCast Compliant version of the device. All Algo InformaCast IP endpoints are fully compliant to register seamlessly with Singlewire InformaCast for emergency notification and public address. The Algo 8305-IC together with other InformaCast endpoints are scalable to meet the needs of any size project.
All features and specifications of the Algo 8305 Multi-Interface IP Paging Adapter remain in the Algo 8305-IC InformaCast Multi-Interface IP Paging Adapter.

The 8305 can function as an IP telephone in a simple configuration when a connected SIP or page extension is called. This enables the 8305 to recognize the configured extension and auto-answer when called.
The 8305 can act as a multicast transmitter or receiver to scale communications in a simple and effective way. IP endpoints connected to the 8305 can be grouped into up to 50 multicast zones.
Play audio files for emergency, safety, security announcements, customer service, or shift changes. Audio files can be stored on the adaptor and played over a speaker in response to an event such as a ring, relay input, or automated schedule.
Sync to Network Time Protocol (NTP) and schedule school bells or automated announcements. Calendar events can be scheduled to play in specific zones, allowing the delivery of announcements to part or all of a facility.
The 8305 can connect to multiple systems via the input and output ports, API, or partnering solutions including InformaCast.
The 8305 can be monitored and manage via ADMP, the Algo 8300 Controller, SNMP, or RTCP.
