Key Features

Built for Flexible Communication & Alerting

The 8212 combines two physical buttons with network connectivity, configurable actions, visual feedback and centralized supervision.

01

Standalone IP Endpoint

Connect the 8212 directly to the network and deploy it independently wherever an IP connection is available.

02

Two Independent Buttons

The two buttons can be independently configured to initiate different communication or alert workflows.

03

Four Configurable Actions

Each button supports a standard press and a long-press action, providing four configurable actions in total.

04

SIP Communication

SIP support allows the 8212 to integrate with compatible IP communication and notification infrastructure.

05

Multicast Capable

Supports RTP multicast and pre-recorded audio distribution across configured zones.

06

RESTful API

API support enables integration with compatible systems and custom communication workflows.

07

ADMP Compatibility

Compatible with Algo Device Management Platform for centralized device visibility and supervision.

08

Protective Covers

Optional protective covers can help reduce unintentional button activation.

09

Selectable Faceplate Labels

Clearly identify buttons according to location, workflow, language or response type.

Network Connectivity

Connect Directly to the Network

The 8212 is designed as a standalone IP endpoint, allowing it to be deployed wherever a suitable network connection is available.

Direct network connectivity provides independent device management, SIP registration and device-level monitoring.

The two buttons can be configured separately. This allows one button to handle an operational call or assistance request while the second button can initiate an emergency or alert workflow.

Identification & Protection

Make Every Button Clear & Easy to Use

Designed for environments where users need to immediately understand which button to press and what action it represents.

Selectable Labels

Use interchangeable faceplate labels to identify buttons by location, workflow, language or response type.

Optional Protective Covers

Add protective covers to help prevent accidental presses in environments where unintended activation needs to be minimized.

Wall or Flush Mounting

The 8212 supports flush or wall surface mounting using compatible single-gang electrical boxes or low-voltage brackets.

Device Management

Centralized Device Supervision

When one or both buttons are configured for panic or emergency workflows, the 8212 can be supervised as part of a broader communication infrastructure.

Algo Device Management Platform (ADMP) can provide centralized visibility into device status, connectivity and operational readiness.

Important Safety Information

Dry Indoor Location Only: The Algo 8212 is intended for dry indoor locations only. Contact Algo support for applications in outdoor or wet environments.

Wiring connected to the 8212 should not leave the building perimeter without appropriate lightning protection.

The 8212 is not intended to function as a standalone life-safety or mass-notification system. It is a network-dependent endpoint that may form part of a broader communication or alerting solution.

System performance depends on network availability, power continuity, configuration, interoperability and associated third-party hardware and software.
