API
This page details the API enhancements included in the 5.0.13 update, focusing on remote access and extension management. These updates streamline system integration and improve flexibility
It is now possible to make Xorcom API updatesI requests from a remote computer. A list of allowed remote IP addresses/networks can be managed in the ADMIN -> Admin -> Application Access -> WHITELIST
Administrators can now manage a list of allowed remote IP addresses/networks via the ADMIN -> Admin -> Application Access -> WHITELIST, making remote access more secure. These Xorcom API improvements greatly enhance remote access. This enhancement allows for more flexible administration of the phone system. The whitelist feature utilizes standard IPv4 IP addresses and subnet mask notation for enhanced security, allowing very granular control over what remote ip addresses can access the system. The API now has improved error handling, and security surrounding remote access.
Specifically, the whitelist functionality allows for the input of individual IP addresses, or network ranges using CIDR notation. This allows for very specific control over which remote machines can access the Xorcom API. The improved error handling now returns more detailed error codes, and messages, when a remote API request fails. This allows for faster debugging, and troubleshooting.
