The Algo 8211 IP Single Button is a standalone IP endpoint that connects directly to the network. It provides a simple physical interface for initiating configured communication and alert workflows.
The button supports both press and long-press actions, allowing two configurable actions from a single physical button.
With PoE power, SIP support, multicast capability, configurable multi-color illumination and optional protective coverage, the 8211 can be adapted to a variety of communication environments.
Explore Features →The Algo 8211 combines a simple physical button interface with network-based communication, monitoring and configurable visual feedback.
Connect the 8211 directly to the network wherever a network connection is available, without requiring a separate IP endpoint.
Configure separate actions for a standard press and long press, providing two workflows from one physical button.
SIP support allows the 8211 to integrate with compatible communication and notification infrastructure.
Supports RTP multicast for distributing pre-recorded audio across configured zones.
RESTful API support enables integration with compatible systems and automation workflows.
Compatible with Algo Device Management Platform for centralized device visibility and supervision.
As a standalone IP endpoint, the 8211 can be deployed anywhere a network connection is available.
It provides independent device management, direct SIP registration and device-level monitoring. This makes the 8211 suitable for locations where a dedicated physical button needs to initiate a defined communication or alert workflow.
The device supports IPv4, IPv6, DHCP, VLAN, mDNS, LLDP, CDP and IEEE 802.1X networking.
The configurable illuminated button provides visual feedback to help users understand the button's current state and confirm when an activation has been detected.
The illumination can be configured using different brightness levels, colors and flash patterns.
Clear identification and optional physical protection help make the 8211 easier and safer to use in everyday and emergency workflows.
Use appropriate faceplate labels to clearly communicate the button's purpose, location, language or response type.
Add an optional protective cover where additional protection against accidental button presses is required.
The 8211 supports flush mounting or wall surface mounting using compatible single-gang electrical box or low-voltage bracket installations.
The 8211 can be configured as an operational button or as a supervised panic button for defined communication and alert workflows.
When used with the Algo Device Management Platform (ADMP), organizations can gain centralized visibility into device status, connectivity and operational readiness.
The 8211 also supports supervision through compatible Algo and third-party monitoring environments.
Key technical information for planning and deployment.
The 8211 is designed for locations where a simple physical button can initiate communication, assistance or alert workflows.
Teacher assistance requests, administrative communication and emergency workflows.
Staff assistance, escalation and emergency communication workflows.
Employee assistance and emergency notification in offices and commercial facilities.
Quick communication and assistance requests from reception and service counters.
Supervised assistance requests in controlled or restricted areas.

Dry Indoor Location Only: The Algo 8211 is intended for dry indoor locations. Contact Algo for applications in outdoor or wet environments.
The 8211 should not be treated as a standalone life-safety or mass-notification system. Its operation depends on network availability, power continuity, configuration and associated systems.
Organizations should evaluate the suitability of the device for their specific application and implement appropriate redundancy, testing and failover measures where required.
