Algo Push-to-Talk (PTT) and Push-to-Mute (PTM) specialty handsets are a high-quality, fully-compatible handset replacement solution for Avaya and Mitel IP telephones, in addition to selected heritage Nortel digital and Meridian Digital Centrex telephones. The ergonomic design soft-touch button of Algo PTT and PTM handsets provide maximum comfort and ease of use.

Push-to-Talk (PTT) Specialty Handsets

PTT handsets permit normal transmission of voice and background sounds to a remote party only when the talk button is pressed. When the button is released (normal mode), the handset microphone is disabled, securely muting the transmission of speech and background sounds while still allowing the remote party to be heard.

Push-to-Mute (PTM) Specialty Handsets

PTM handsets allow for periodic user-controlled muting of transmit speech and background noise during a call. This specialty handset works by disabling the handset microphone when the mute button is pressed and restoring normal operation when the button is released. In doing so, the PTM handset prevents background noise and conversations from being heard at the far end (in between speaking).
