Traditional vs Modern IP connectivity

VoIP and PBX, respectively are two ways of achieving the same process  to make and receive phone calls. Traditional PBX systems have been around for years and are used in many businesses that need a dedicated phone network and are essentially used small telephone network which uses common or standard analog telephone lines for incoming and outgoing calls.

It has proved itself to be efficient, cost effective and stable when compare to the traditional PBXs systems. And has been said more companies are exploring or focused in IP connectivity or IP solutions instead using PBX Business Phone Systems. And why not, with lower prices and with greater features the choices are more abundant it should be the way to go.

For a replication or to overcome the traditional way of phone experience, an IP PBX phone system or a wireless were introduced to connect to the Internet to make the way of connecting the people more simpler and easier through voice over internet protocol or IP.

An IP PBX is a private branch exchange for telephone switching system within an enterprise that switches calls between VoIP (voice over Internet Protocol or IP) users on local lines while allowing all users to share a certain number of external phone lines. An IP PBX is a PBX phone system that uses internet protocol instead of the traditional analog services

The Maintenance and configuration of IP PBX is simple will be much more user friendly than traditional PBXs as they come with web-based configuration interface so that the software or the phone systems can be configured remotely. This allows for easier changes and additions. While with EPABX, in case for any technical issues or software update the person has to go directly to the place physically in order to solve the errors or problems. In this case the travelling time and expenses are more for the user compare to IP PBX systems

Scalability: Traditional EPABX has limitations in adding the new lines or whenever requirement is needed, with the IP Telephony its very easy in adding the new lines or Extensions. And also compare to Traditional EPABX size is very huge and bulky as it consumes more commercial spaces, while in IP PBX can easily adjustable in size and fit into the network rack.

Best Choices:Major companies that have built PBXs are now moving quicker to  IP connectivity, IP-PBX can connect to lower cost VoIP providers for cost saving and  reducing the telephone bills, especially when its in long range  distance and International calls
