A New Hotel, a Long List of Needs

HSR Groups was building a brand-new hotel in Punganur, Andhra Pradesh and needed a communications backbone from scratch.

Micro Village Communications provided on-ground technical support covering planning, surveying, designing, installing, configuring, troubleshooting and training.

The deployment included room-by-room mapping of IP phones, Wi-Fi, network equipment and cabling.

Project Journey

From planning to a ready hotel communications network.

The project involved technical planning, deployment, troubleshooting and customer training throughout the implementation.

Customer Challenge

The customer was new to IP-PBX, IP phones and enterprise Wi-Fi. The MVC engineer explained the technology in plain language and guided the customer team through the deployment.

Cabling Hiccup

The onsite team was unfamiliar with network cable termination and RJ45 crimping. The MVC engineer trained the team on the required cabling process.

CCTV Added Mid-Project

CCTV was added during the project. MVC coordinated with the third-party CCTV team and placed CCTV on a dedicated network segment.

Guest Wi-Fi

Voucher-based guest Wi-Fi was configured and the hotel team was trained on its operation.

During deployment, the infrastructure was organized into separate lanes for voice, Wi-Fi and CCTV.
